I've been putting my kitchen to work! These Instant Pot beef tips will knock your socks off! It's a simple, easy, flavorful dinner that's ready in a jiffy. And yes, you can cook it in the crock pot instead if you want! 🙂
How to make beef tips in the Instant Pot
The key to tender beef tips in under an hour is the Instant Pot. Or the Ninja Foodi, like we use. You can also cook it in the crock pot, but that's gonna take about 6-8 hours to reach the same tenderness.
In the Instant Pot, add onions, garlic and beef. Pour in broth. Press manual or pressure cook button and set timer to 25 minutes. Make sure the valve is set to sealed.
Once the Instant Pot beeps and stops counting, release the pressure via the valve.
Hit the cancel button on the Instant Pot, then press the saute button.
Mix milk with cornstarch. Pour into the Instant Pot. Allow it to come to a boil stirring often.
Once it starts to thicken add in paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well. Serve topped over potatoes, pasta, or rice.
Can you use frozen beef? Yes!
Is this recipe keto-friendly? It can be!
Can you make beef tips in the crock pot? Absolutely! Like I said, it'll take longer but it's “set it and forget it” so that's not so bad!
What to serve with beef tips and gravy (besides gravy!)
I love making beef tips in the Instant Pot! What you serve your beef tips with (or on!) is totally up to you, and will depend on whether you're looking for low point options or not.
Some of my favorites include:
- mashed potatoes
- broccoli or other veggies
- corn bread or rolls
- egg noodles

Weight Watchers points for beef tips
Follow myWW? Want the points? I've got you covered! But before you print this recipe, be sure to check out my iTrackBites post. I switched from WW to iTrackBites a year ago and not only have I saved a TON of money, I've fallen in love with how easy it is to use iTB compared to the WW app that constantly crashed on me!
