Ingredients

  • 4 Lbs of beef ribs*
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 12 oz beer (you can make a liquid base to cook them in if you don’t want to use bee4pts for a can of Bud Light
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Pod Bean hot sauce chipotle secret ingredient

The Rub

  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder or minced onions
  • ½ tablespoon smoked paprika
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Coat the ribs with the rub and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Place steamer rack into instant pot and pour in beer and liquid smoke.
  3. Cut ribs to fit into the Instant Pot and seal the lid.
  4. Set the Instant Pot on high pressure for 30 minutes to achieve that fall-off-the-bone tenderness we all crave and love.
  5. Let Instant Pot natural release for 10-15 minutes then vent out remaining steam.
  6. Preheat the oven on broil
  7. Carefully move the ribs to a cookie sheet and brush with barbecue sauce.
  8. Broil for 5-7 minutes or until the sauce caramelizes and the ribs begin to brown.
